Keeping your browser cache fresh helps Filmustage run smoothly and prevents outdated files from causing glitches.
Below is a safe and simple guide to refresh your cache without deleting your browsing history, saved passwords, cookies, or login sessions.
Note: We recommend doing this every 2–4 weeks.
1. Quick Safe Refresh (Recommended First Step)
This forces the browser to reload the newest version of the page, without clearing cookies or logging you out.
Chrome / Edge / Brave (Windows):
Press
Ctrl + Shift + R
Chrome / Edge / Brave (macOS):
Press
Command + Shift + R
Firefox (Windows/macOS):
Press
Ctrl + F5or PressCommand + Shift + R
This solves most display or update issues instantly.
2. Light Cache Cleanup (Only Cached Files, No Cookies)
If the quick refresh didn’t help, you can clear only the cached images and files.
Google Chrome / Edge / Brave
Open Settings
Go to Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
Select Time range: Last hour (recommended)
Check only:
Cached images and files
Make sure these remain unchecked:
Browsing history
Cookies and other site data
Click Clear data
Mozilla Firefox
Open Settings
Go to Privacy & Security
Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data…
Check only:
Cached Web Content
Leave Cookies and Site Data unchecked
Click Clear
Safari (macOS)
Safari doesn’t offer a direct “clear cache only” button, but here is the safest path:
Open Safari
Click Safari → Preferences
Go to Privacy
Click Manage Website Data…
Select only filmustage.com
Click Remove
This clears the outdated cached files only for Filmustage, without affecting other sites.
3. Full Reset (Optional — Only if Nothing Else Helps)
This step may log you out of websites and remove cookies.
Use it only as a last resort.
Chrome / Firefox / Safari / Edge
You can delete:
Cookies
All site data
⚠️ Warning: This will sign you out everywhere and remove saved preferences.
If you’re unsure, please contact support before doing this.
