Filmustage Trust Center

How to review Filmustage's security compliance, controls, and request access to security documents

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

Filmustage Trust Center is a public portal where you can review Filmustage's security compliance, controls, and security policies.

Visit the Trust Center at trust.filmustage.com.

Compliance and assessments

Filmustage maintains two industry-recognized security credentials, and they work differently:

  • SOC 2 Type 2 — an independent auditor has reviewed Filmustage's systems over several months to confirm consistent adherence to strict data protection controls, including access management, system monitoring, and incident response.

  • TPN (Trusted Partner Network) Blue — the entry tier of the Motion Picture Association's content security program. TPN does not issue certifications or pass/fail ratings. Blue status means Filmustage has completed the MPA Content Security Best Practices questionnaire in full and published those answers on the TPN platform for content owners to review. Filmustage renews this self-assessment every year.

Security controls

The Trust Center organizes Filmustage's security controls into four categories:

  • Product security — data encryption, control self-assessments, penetration testing.

  • Internal security procedures — continuity and disaster recovery plans, cybersecurity insurance.

  • Data and privacy — data handling, retention, and privacy compliance.

  • Organizational security — disposal procedures, asset inventory, media encryption, organizational security controls.

Penetration testing

Filmustage undergoes regular penetration testing performed by an independent third-party security firm. The testing simulates real-world attack scenarios to identify and address potential vulnerabilities before they can be exploited.

Detailed penetration testing reports are available to clients and partners through the Request Access procedure described below.

Security resources and policies

The Trust Center provides access to the following security policy documents:

  • Certificate of Liability Insurance

  • Access Control Policy
