How to open the Filmustage demo project — a ready-made script with a completed breakdown

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

The demo project lets you explore Filmustage with a ready-made script that already has a completed breakdown, so you can see how every tab works before uploading your own screenplay. The demo is based on the Forrest Gump script and opens with full access to all features, including exports.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com, and then sign in.

  2. On the welcome screen, select Try with demo script.

  3. Wait while the button shows Preparing demo project... Preparation takes up to a minute.

Filmustage creates the demo project and opens it. The project appears in your list with a demo badge.

Note: The Try with demo script button appears only while your project list is empty. After you create the demo project or your own project, open the demo from its card in the project list.

What the demo project contains

The script is already broken down, so the demo opens with tagged elements in place. You can review them in the Script, Summary, and Reports tabs, build a schedule in the Scheduling tab, and work with the Analysis and Budgeting tabs on real data.

You can edit the demo project like any other project. Changes affect only your copy.

Note: You can have one demo project at a time. If a demo project already exists in your list, Try with demo script opens it instead of creating a second one.
