First, you need to create a project and upload your script to the App. Filmustage will automatically analyse your script and generate a breakdown.
Tip: The App supports scripts written in multiple languages and any format, including non-standard layouts. See Supported script formats and languages.
There are two ways to break down a script:
You can upload your script in .pdf or .fdx (Final Draft) file formats.
Note: Your script is uploaded to secure US-based cloud servers. Third parties, including Filmustage, have no access to view, edit, or share your script. See Filmustage security for details.

Procedure
Perform a breakdown automatically (with AI)
Go to app.filmustage.com.
In the upper-left corner, click Create Project.
Under Choose Breakdown Mode, select AI Breakdown. It is selected by default.
Drag and drop your script into the upload area, or click it to select a file from your device.
Optional. To upload multiple episode scripts at once, toggle on Multiple Episodes Project. See Create a multi-episode project.
Click Next.
Enter a project name. By default, the App fills this in with the name of the uploaded file.
Optional. Upload a cover image and add a project description.
Click Create Project and wait up to two minutes for the App to analyze your script, break it down, and perform tagging.
The App redirects you to the project workplace, where you can work on your script breakdown.
Perform a breakdown manually in a classic way (without AI)
Go to app.filmustage.com.
In the upper-left corner, click Create Project.
Under Choose Breakdown Mode, select Manual Breakdown.
Drag and drop your script into the upload area, or click it to select a file from your device.
Optional. To upload multiple episode scripts at once, toggle on Multiple Episodes Project. See Create a multi-episode project.
Click Next, enter a project name, and click Create Project. Wait up to one minute for the App to analyze your script.
The App takes you to the Project Workplace, where you can manually tag script elements and refine your breakdown. See the Script tab section of this Help Center for tagging instructions.
