A script day marks the day in the story timeline when a scene takes place β not the day you shoot it. Use it to group scenes by story day for continuity, such as wardrobe, makeup, props, and lighting.
Before you begin
Show or hide the Script Day column
Go to app.filmustage.com, and then open your project.
On the ribbon, go to Scheduling β Stripboard.
In the upper-right corner of the Stripboard, select the gear icon (β).
Select Show Script Day.
The Script Day column appears between Estimation, h and Shooting Location.
Assign a script day to a scene
In the Script Day column, select Set Script Day on the scene's strip.
In the Assign Script Day popover, do one of the following:
Select an existing script day from the list.
Select Add New Script Day, enter a name (for example, Day 1 or Night 12), and then select Create.
The script day appears on the scene's strip and is added to the suggestion list for other scenes.
Note: A script day name must be unique within the project and up to 64 characters.
Reuse a script day across scenes
Select Set Script Day on another scene's strip.
In the Assign Script Day popover, select the script day from the list.
Both scenes now share the same script day.
Rename or delete a script day
Select the script day on a scene's strip to open the Assign Script Day popover.
Select the edit (pencil) icon next to the script day.
In the Update Script Day dialog, do one of the following:
Edit the name, and then select Update.
Select Delete to remove the script day.
Caution: Update and Delete apply to every scene that uses this script day, not only the selected scene.
Sort scenes by script day
Caution: Sorting removes all day breaks and moves all banners to the top.
Script days are included when you export your schedule to Movie Magic (MMSX, SEX).
