Once a project has two or more versions, the Versions hub lets you compare them side by side — scenes, tags, schedule, and budget. With only one version, the hub shows just the Overview.
Open a comparison
Go to app.filmustage.com and then open your project. In the top navigation, open the Script menu and select Versions.
Use the Version and Compare against selectors at the top left to choose which two versions to compare.
What each tab shows
Overview — the version tree, the current version, scene counts, and revision colors.
Scene Diff — a scene-by-scene comparison. Filter by Modified or Removed, and open any scene to see a side-by-side content diff of the previous and current version.
Tags Diff — tags added, removed, and changed, grouped by category (Cast, Props, Set Dressing, Special Effects, and others). This is the clearest view of exactly which elements changed between versions.
Impact Report — the overall impact of the changes, grouped by department, with a By Change and By Shooting Day view. Add a budget in the Budgeting tab to see the estimated cost impact.
Compare Schedules — schedule metrics side by side: shooting days, scene count, pages per day, daily burn rate, and grand total, plus a day-by-day breakdown.
Compare Budgets — budget variance by category, with the grand total and total fringes.
Tip: For the cleanest comparison, upload each revision exported from the same source and in the same format.
