Script versions

Learn how script versions work in Filmustage — the current version, revision colors, and where to switch versions.

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

A script version is a saved revision of your script. Each time you upload a revised script, Filmustage creates a new version and keeps every earlier version together with its full breakdown, schedule, and budget. This lets you compare revisions and see how changes ripple through your production.

How versions work

One version is always the current (active) version. The current version drives the breakdown, schedule, budget, reports, and exports across your project.

Each version carries a revision color. Filmustage follows the standard production revision sequence: White, Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, Goldenrod, Buff, Salmon, Cherry. The first version is White, and each new revision takes the next color by default.

Switch the active version

You can switch the current version from the version selector, which is available across most tabs of your project, including Script, Scheduling, and Budgeting. The selector is not available on the Call Sheets tab.
