Export your script as a PDF from the Script tab. You can export the script text on its own, or add scene synopses, scene notes, annotations, and comments to the file.
Before you begin
If you want annotations in the file, make sure the layers you need are visible. See Organize annotations into layers.
Export the script
Go to app.filmustage.com, and open your project.
Go to the Script tab.
In the top-right corner, select Export.
Select what you want to include in the file:
Include scene synopsis — adds the synopsis of each scene.
Include scene notes — adds the notes written for each scene.
Include annotations — adds your markup: highlights, underlines, strikethroughs, text boxes, stamps, shapes, freehand drawing, and images.
Include comments — adds the comments left on the script.
Select PDF.
Filmustage generates the file and downloads it.
Note: All four options are cleared by default. Select the ones you need before every export.
Caution: Only annotations on visible layers are exported. If a layer is hidden, its annotations do not appear in the file.
Export options and file formats
The four Include options apply to PDF exports only. An FDX file contains the script text and its structure — synopses, notes, annotations, and comments are not carried over. See Export script to Final Draft (FDX).
To protect the file with a password or a watermark, select Protected PDF… instead. See Add content protection when you export.
