What powers the budget estimates?

Right now, budget estimations are based mostly on U.S.-only production data, including:

  • Guild & Union Rates
Official wages by crew type from U.S. guilds and unions.

  • Rental Costs from Partners
Real prices for locations, wardrobe, props, and equipment.

  • Your historical budget data (account-level only) — COMING SOON
Data from your previous projects available in your account.

These are data-backed estimates, not generated guesses.

Note: Our dataset is growing, but still limited. Want to contribute or suggest a source? Please, contact us at [email protected].

Is budget data from my previous projects used in estimation?

Currently data from your previous projects is not used for budget calculations. Soon, they’ll also be used to enhance AI budgeting on your account.

  • Private to your account only

  • Not used to train AI models

  • Used only to improve your own cost calculations

Your data stays yours — always.

Budget feasibility warnings

If your team structure, roles, or scope go beyond minimums set by U.S. guilds, the system will flag that the estimate may not be realistic.

No worries — we’re also building tools to help you adjust and optimize.

Is international data supported?

Not yet — but it’s on the way.

We’re expanding support to include production data from other countries, plus incentives and rebate programs across key regions.

What’s coming next?

We’re building a Budget Optimization tool to help you:

  • Compare costs in other countries

  • See rebates & incentives

  • Reconfigure team/service setups for lower cost

  • Personalize estimates using your previous project budgets

As of June 2025, Budget Optimization is still in development.
