Comment on specific parts of your script and discuss them with your team on the Script tab. Reply, resolve, and reopen threads. Available with Team Access.

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

On the Script tab, comments let you and your team discuss specific parts of the script. You can reply to a comment, resolve it when it's handled, and reopen it later.

Tip: Comments are anchored to a specific part of the script. To message your team without pointing to a line, use Team Chat.

Note: Comments are part of Team Access. Each collaborator's access to annotations — including comments — is set in Team Access to None, View, Edit, or Full.

Before you begin

  • Open a project that already has a script uploaded.

  • Make sure you have annotation access to the project. See Team Access.

Add a comment

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com, and then open your project.

  2. Go to the Script tab.

  3. On the annotation toolbar, select Comment.

  4. Select the text you want to comment on.

  5. In the Write a comment box, type your comment. A comment can be up to 500 characters.

  6. Select Save.

Filmustage adds the comment and shows it in the Comments section of the right panel.

Tip: The keyboard shortcut for the Comment tool is "C".

Reply to a comment

  1. In the Comments section, find the comment.

  2. Select Reply, type your message, and then select Post.

Resolve or reopen a comment

  • To mark a thread as handled, select Resolve. Filmustage hides resolved comments — select Show resolved to view them.

  • To bring a resolved comment back, select Show resolved, and then select Reopen.

Delete a comment

In the Comments section, select Delete on the comment you want to remove.

Note: Anyone with annotation access can add and reply to comments. Only the comment's author and collaborators with Full access can resolve, reopen, or delete a comment.

Plans

Comments are available with Team Access.
