How to merge tags in the Script tab

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

The Merge feature in the Script tab helps you combine duplicate or inconsistent tags within the same category. This ensures your breakdown is clean, accurate, and ready for scheduling, reporting, or export.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com and open your project.

  2. On the top ribbon, click the Script tab.

  3. On the left-hand panel, find the category where duplicates appear.

  4. Inside the category, select two or more tags by checking the boxes next to them.

  5. The Merge button automatically appears at the top of the panel once multiple tags are selected.

  6. Click Merge.

  7. Choose the primary tag name you want to keep.

  8. Click Merge to finalize the merge.

Filmustage merges all selected tags into the primary tag you chose.

Note: You can edit tags in three tabs: Script, Summary, and Reports.

When you merge tags in the Script or Summary tab, Filmustage merges tags only in the current scene you've selected.

If you merge tags in the Reports tab, Filmustage merges the tags across all scenes in the script.
