What are co-references?
Co-references are different words or phrases in a script that refer to the same entity.
For example, a single character may be mentioned as:
A character name
A pronoun (he, she, they)
A descriptive reference (the man, the woman, the driver)
All of these mentions are automatically linked to one character tag.
How this affects tags and search
Because of co-reference detection:
Searching for a character includes all related mentions
Tag counts may be higher than just name appearances
Clicking a tag highlights every linked reference in the script
This helps ensure that breakdowns, scheduling, and budgeting are based on the full presence of an element in the script.
