You can delete a specific tag from the script breakdown if you donโ€™t need it.

Tags can be deleted directly from the script text or from the tag list to keep your breakdown.

Delete a tag from the script text

Use this method if you want to delete only one specific mention of a tag in the script.

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com, and then open your project.

  2. On the ribbon, go to the Script tab.

  3. In the script text, select the tag you want to delete.

  4. Above the list that appears, to the right of Edit Tag, select the trash bin icon (๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ) to delete it.

The App will remove only the selected word from the script โ€” the tag will still appear in the scene if itโ€™s used elsewhere.

Delete tags from the tag list

Use this method to delete the entire tag from the current scene, including all of its mentions.

Procedure

  1. In the left sidebar, locate the tag category (e.g., Cast, Props, Extras).

  2. Hover over the tag you want to delete.

  3. Select the trash bin icon (๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ) next to the tag name.

The App will remove all mentions of the tag from the scene.

Group Delete Tags

Use Group Delete when you want to clean up multiple tags from a category at once โ€” ideal after script imports or major edits.

Procedure

  1. In the Script tab, navigate to the left-hand tag panel.

  2. Expand a tag category and check the boxes next to multiple tags.

  3. Once selected, click the Group Delete button at the top of the list.

  4. Confirm the deletion.

Note: You can edit tags on three tabs: Script, Summary, and Reports.

When you perform a deletion of tags on the Script or Summary tab, the App will delete tags ONLY FROM THE CURRENT scene you've selected.

If you perform a deletion from the Reports tab - tags will be deleted from ALL script scenes.
