Draw freehand and add shapes

Draw freehand with the Pen or Marker and add rectangles or ellipses over the script. Available on all plans.

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

On the Script tab, you can draw freehand marks and add shapes over the script — for example, to circle a line or box a section.

Note: Drawings and shapes are annotations. They sit on top of the script, do not change the script text, and do not use Dude Coins.

Before you begin

  • Open a project that already has a script uploaded.

  • Open the scene you want to annotate.

Draw freehand

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com, open your project, and then go to the Script tab.

  2. On the annotation toolbar, select Draw, and then choose Pen or Marker.

  3. Choose a color, and set the line size with the size arrows.

  4. Draw on the script by dragging the cursor.

Add a shape

  1. On the annotation toolbar, select Shape, and then choose a Rectangle or an Ellipse.

  2. Choose a color and a stroke width, and set whether the shape is filled or transparent.

  3. Drag on the page to draw the shape.

Filmustage adds each drawing and shape to your active layer.

Move, resize, or delete

  1. On the toolbar, select Select.

  2. Select the drawing or shape, and then drag to move it, drag a handle to resize it, or select the trash icon to delete it.

Tip: To remove freehand marks as you go, use the Eraser — drag across the marks you want to remove. You can also select a drawing or shape and press Del.

Plans
