If you’ve ended up with duplicate or similar tags (like JOKER and Joker), you can easily merge them into one. This helps keep your breakdown clean and avoids confusion during scheduling and production.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com and open your project.

  2. On the top ribbon, click the Summary tab.

  3. On the left, select the scene that contains the tags you want to merge.

  4. In the Breakdown Summary, go to the relevant category (e.g., CAST, COSTUMES).

  5. Select the checkboxes next to all tags you want to merge.

  6. Once selected, click the Merge button:

  7. In the Merge Tags window:

    • Use the dropdown to Select a primary tag (this is the name that will remain).

    • Click the Merge button to confirm.

All selected tags will be merged into the primary tag you chose.

Note: You can edit tags in three tabs: Script, Summary, and Reports.

When you merge tags in the Script or Summary tab, the app will merge tags only in the current scene you've selected.

If you merge tags in the Reports tab, the tags will be merged across all scenes in the script.
