Create a project / Perform script breakdown

Hot to create a project and create a script breakdown at the same time (it's how it works - simultaneously)

First, you need to create a project and upload your script to the App to break down a script. There are two ways to break down a script:

You can upload your script in PDF or Final Draft’s FDX file formats.

Note The App will upload your script to the secured cloud-based servers located in the US. Third parties, including Filmustage, have no access to view, edit, or share your script. You can learn more about Filmustage’s Privacy Policy and security methods and policies.

Procedure

Perform breakdown automatically (with AI)

  1. In the upper-left corner, select Create Project.

  2. In the Create Project window that appears, upload your script by doing one of the following:

    • Select the area with the Click or Drag a script to this area to upload (.pdf, .fdx) label, and then select the file from your device.

    • Drag a file from your device folder to the area with the Click or Drag a script to this area to upload (.pdf, .fdx) label.

      The App will upload your script to the project.

  3. In the Project Name box, enter your project’s name.

    By default, the App will fill in this box with the name of the file you’ve uploaded.

  4. Optional. Select Click to upload 📷 to upload your project’s cover image.

  5. Optional. In the Project Description box, enter your project’s description or notes for your convenience.

  6. Select Create Project, and then wait up to two minutes for the App to analyze your script, break it down, and perform tagging.

    The App will redirect you to the project workplace, where you can work on your script breakdown.

Perform breakdown manually in a classic way (without AI)

  1. In the upper-left corner, select Create Project.

  2. In the Create Project window that appears, upload your script.

  3. In the bottom-left corner of the Create Project window, select the Manual script breakdown checkbox.

  4. Select Create Project, and then wait up to one minute for the App to analyze your script.

    The App will redirect you to the project workplace, where you can manually perform script tagging and work on your script breakdown. The following instructions as well as other ones from the Script tab section of this Help Center will guide you through the tagging process:
