How to merge tags in the Reports Tab

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

If duplicate or similar tags exist in the Reports tab (e.g., "Two Old Men" and "Two Old Man"), you can quickly merge them into a single, clean entry. This helps keep your breakdown organized and avoids redundancy.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com and open your project.

  2. Navigate to the Reports tab.

  3. Select the appropriate category (e.g., CAST) from the top.

  4. Check the boxes next to the tags you want to merge.

  5. Click the Merge button above the table.

  6. In the Merge Tags dialog:

    • Choose which tag name you want to keep as the primary tag.

    • Click Merge to confirm.

Filmustage merges your selected tags into a new custom tag under the chosen category and applies it across all associated scenes โ€” effectively unifying the tag throughout the entire script.

Note: You can edit tags in three tabs: Script, Summary, and Reports.

When you merge tags in the Script or Summary tab, Filmustage merges tags only in the current scene you've selected.

If you merge tags in the Reports tab, Filmustage merges the tags across all scenes in the script.
