Set content protection for a project

Override your team's default content protection for a single project.

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

You can override your team's default content protection for a single project.

Note: Content protection is available on a $149+/month plan, or any paid plan active for 3 or more consecutive months. Only the project owner can change the project policy.

Before you begin

Set the project policy

  1. Open the project.

  2. Select Share Project.

  3. In the Share Project dialog, select Content protection.

  4. Under Export Access, choose All exports, PDF exports only, or No exports for this project.

  5. Under Watermark, turn on On PDF exports, On-screen view, or both. When a surface is on, use Watermark the owner's exports too and Watermark the owner's screen too to include your own material.

  6. Optional. Turn on Include viewer identity, and enter a Custom Notice.

  7. Optional. Under PDF Lock, select Block editing & copying.

  8. Select Save.

Filmustage applies this policy to this project, overriding the team default. Settings you leave untouched are inherited from the team default, and collaborator-level settings can override the project further.

Note: A project setting can also turn an inherited team setting off, not only add to it.
