Set content protection for a specific collaborator

Override a project's content protection for a single collaborator.

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

You can override a project's content protection for one collaborator, so a specific teammate's exports and on-screen view carry different protection from the rest of the project.

Note: Content protection is available on a $149+/month plan, or any paid plan active for 3 or more consecutive months. Only the project owner can change a collaborator's policy.

Before you begin

Set a collaborator's policy

  1. Open Share Project for the project, or open Team Access.

  2. Find the collaborator's row and select the content protection (shield) icon for that member.

  3. Under Export Access, choose All exports, PDF exports only, or No exports for this collaborator.

  4. Under Watermark, turn on On PDF exports, On-screen view, or both, and set the owner checkboxes as needed.

  5. Optional. Turn on Include viewer identity, and enter a Custom Notice.

  6. Optional. Under PDF Lock, select Block editing & copying.

  7. Select Save.

Filmustage applies this policy to this collaborator on this project. Settings you leave untouched are inherited from the project, which in turn inherits from the team default.
