How to use Tag Editor and customize your elements

You can edit a specific tag of your script breakdown by changing its name, adding notes to it, changing its tag category, searching for the reference image among image stocks, or uploading a reference image from your device. This feature is called Tag Editor.

Change a tag name

You can change the name of a specific tag in the script.

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com, and then open your project.

  2. On the ribbon, go to the Summary tab.

  3. In the script summary, point to the tag you want to change a name.

  4. Select ✏️ to go to the Edit Tag window.

  5. In the tag name box, enter the new name of your choice.

  6. Select Save.

    The App will assign a new name for the tag.

Add notes to a tag

You can add a note or description to each tag of a script breakdown for your convenience.

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com, and then open your project.

  2. On the ribbon, go to the Summary tab.

  3. In the script summary, point to the tag you want to add notes to.

  4. Select ✏️ to go to the Edit Tag window.

  5. In the Notes box, enter notes of your choice.

  6. Select Save.

    The App will add notes to the tag.

Add a reference image to a tag

You can add reference images to your script breakdown tags so you can visualize them and, for example, share them with your colleagues. There are two ways you can add a reference to your tag— you can use the App’s built-in reference image search or upload a reference image from your device.

Additional options

On the Edit Tag window, you can also:

  • Select Copy link to copy a link to the reference image you’ve selected to the clipboard.

  • Select Clear image 🗑 to delete the reference image you’ve selected.

  • Select Download image 🖫 to download the reference image you’ve selected to your device.

Add a reference image to a tag via a built-in search

You can search for a reference image using the App’s built-in reference image search to add it to your script breakdown tag.

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com, and then open your project.

  2. On the ribbon, go to the Summary tab.

  3. In the script summary, point to the tag you want to add a reference to, and then select ✏️ to go to the Edit Tag window.

  4. Select Search image 🔍 to go to the Search Reference window.

  5. Optional. Do one of the following:

    • Select the Use images from stocks checkbox to search among image stocks.

    • Clear the Use images from stocks checkbox to perform your search among images located in the public domain on the Internet.

  6. Optional. In the box with your tag’s name, enter your precise search request, and then press Enter.

    You won’t have to leave the App while searching.

  7. Move through the images gallery to find the image you need, point to the image of your choice, and then select Select.

    The App will return you to the Edit Tag window.

  8. Click Save.

    The App will add to your tag the reference image you’ve selected.

Add a reference image to a tag via uploading

You can upload a reference image from your device to add it to your script breakdown tag.

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com, and then open your project.

  2. On the ribbon, go to the Summary tab.

  3. In the script summary, point to the tag you want to add a reference image to.

  4. Select to go to the Edit Tag window.

  5. Select Upload to go to the Upload Image window.

  6. Select Click to upload 📷 to upload an image from your device.

  7. Select Upload.

    The App will upload your image and return you to the Edit Tag window.

  8. Click Save.

    The App will add to your tag the reference image you’ve uploaded from your device.

Tag All Mentions

Tagging all mentions is crucial for manual breakdown or assigning custom categories to multiple elements across scenes. To tag any element in all scenes:

  1. Click on the Tag all mentions checkbox.

  2. Choose the relevant category.

  3. All corresponding elements will be tagged with the selected category across all scenes.
