Update script / Script versioning

How to update your script by performing script versioning

Written by Egor Dubrovsky

You can upload a revised version of your script to the project. Filmustage compares it with the previous version and updates the script breakdown to reflect the changes. Filmustage keeps the earlier script version and all existing breakdown settings.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Under the Project List, point to the project you want to update, and then select ⋮ icon.

  2. From the options list that appears, select Update Script.

  3. Filmustage automatically detects when scenes are added or removed within a project. Filmustage marks added scenes green and deleted scenes red.

After the update, Filmustage preserves the order of the scenes in the shooting schedule. It moves banners and new scenes to the top of the schedule.

  4. Filmustage adds new tags automatically and identifies those that are no longer applicable.

Filmustage saves your custom scene and tag settings from the previous script version. This feature ensures that any personalized adjustments are not lost amid updates.

  5. Click the Apply All Changes button to finish.

  6. To switch between the new and old versions of your script, navigate to the Versions tab, and then select the version of your choice from a dropdown menu.

Note: By default, you can upload up to 20 versions of your script.
