You can save your script breakdown summary or shooting schedule in SEX file format, and then import it into Movie Magic Scheduling or Gorilla Scheduling.

Step 1: From the Filmustage App side

  1. Go to, and then open your project.

  2. On the ribbon, go to the Summary or Scheduling tab.

  3. At the top, select Export > SEX (Movie Magic).

The App will export your script, download it, and save it to your device in SEX file format.

Step 2: From the Movie Magic Scheduling side

  1. Open Movie Magic Scheduling.

  2. Select File > New Schedule, and then select the default template.

  3. Select File > Import, and then open SEX format file that you've obtained by completing Step 1 of this instruction.

Your script will be imported into Breakdown Sheet # 2.

  4. From the menu, select EP Scheduling > Preferences.

  5. In the Preferences window, select the Schedule Preferences tab.

  6. Change the Sheet Numbering from Automatic to Manual, and then select OK.

  7. At the top, select the red circle icon with the diagonal line going through it to delete the empty Breakdown Sheet # 1 and renumber.

  8. To the right of the red circle, select the 123-renumbering icon, and then choose to renumber by Sheet Order.

This will make Breakdown Sheet # 2 start as Breakdown Sheet # 1.

  9. Go back to the EP Scheduling > Preferences > Schedule Preferences tab, and then change the Sheet Numbering back to Automatic.

  10. Go to Schedule > Boneyard.

  11. Use the Command + A (Mac) or Control + A (Windows) keyboard shortcut to select all elements.

  12. Use the Control + Click (Mac) keyboard shortcut or Right-click (Windows), and then select Move to Stripboard.

    The window will become empty.

  13. Close the current empty window.

You will see all of the fields filled in.

Note If you have any questions regarding exporting and importing your projects, you can contact our support via live chat in the lower-right corner of your screen while working in the App.
