You can export the script from the Script tab in Filmustage to a Final Draft (.fdx) file format. This allows you to continue script editing in Final Draft or other compatible screenwriting software while maintaining the script’s original formatting and structure.

Procedure

  1. Go to app.filmustage.com, and open your project.

  2. Navigate to the Script tab.

  3. In the top-right corner, click the Export button.

  4. From the dropdown menu, select FDX (Final Draft).

  5. The system will generate a .fdx file containing your current script along with all applied tags — including any custom tags you’ve created.

View Your Tags in Final Draft

  1. Open the exported .fdx file in Final Draft.

  2. Go to the Production tab in the top menu.

  3. Click on Tags Mode to enable tag visibility.

  4. All your tags will be recognized.
