Move scenes, reorder shooting days, and restructure your schedule using natural language.

AI Dude works with your existing schedule structure.


Before applying structural changes, it shows a preview when required.


What you can change

Use AI Dude when you need to:

  • Move scenes to another shooting day.

  • Reorder scenes within a day.

  • Redistribute scenes across multiple days.

  • Group scenes by location or cast.

  • Optimize shooting order.

  • Analyze potential scheduling conflicts.


Move scenes between shooting days

You can relocate individual or multiple scenes directly from chat.

Example prompts (JOKER)

  • “Move the subway shooting scene to Day 5.”

  • “Put all scenes in the Murray Franklin Studio on the same day.”

  • “Move every night exterior scene to the last shooting day.”

Example result

AI Dude:

  • Identifies matching scenes (e.g., SUBWAY – NIGHT, Murray Franklin Studio scenes).

  • Shows which day they are currently scheduled on.

  • Proposes a new day assignment.

  • Displays a preview if multiple scenes are affected.

After confirmation, the App updates the Stripboard.


Reorder scenes within a day

You can change scene order without affecting other shooting days.

Example prompts (JOKER)

  • “Move the subway scene before the bathroom dance scene.”

  • “Sort today’s scenes by location.”

  • “Place all apartment interiors first.”

Example result

AI Dude:

  • Retrieves scenes scheduled on the selected day

  • Reorders only that day.

  • Preserves day breaks and metadata.

  • Shows a preview if the change impacts multiple strips.


Redistribute shooting days

You can restructure the schedule more broadly.

Example prompts (JOKER)

  • “Balance the schedule across 20 shooting days.”

  • “Group scenes by location to reduce company moves.”

  • “Spread heavy stunt scenes evenly across the week.”

Example result

AI Dude:

  • Analyzes scene length, location, and existing structure.

  • Proposes a revised distribution.

  • Explains what will change.

  • Requests confirmation before applying structural changes.


Analyze schedule conflicts

AI Dude can review your schedule before you commit to changes.

Example prompts (JOKER)

  • “Do we have cast conflicts for Arthur this week?”

  • “Are any days overloaded with long scenes?”

  • “Show potential location conflicts.”

Example result

AI Dude:

  • Reviews cast and scene assignments.

  • Identifies potential overloads or conflicts.

  • Returns structured feedback.

  • Does not modify the schedule unless you explicitly request it.


Preview and confirmation

For structural changes, AI Dude may:

  • Show a preview of the proposed changes.

  • Ask for confirmation before applying updates.

  • Explain what will be modified.

The App applies schedule changes only after confirmation when required.


How schedule updates work

AI Dude:

  • Uses structured scheduling tools (not free-text guesses).

  • Maintains day breaks and strip structure.

  • Preserves scene metadata and unit assignments.

  • Works only within the currently open project.

  • May ask for clarification if the instruction is ambiguous.


Voice input

You can use the microphone icon in the chat input to give scheduling instructions by voice.

For example:

“Move all Murray Franklin show scenes to Day 8 and group them together.”

AI Dude converts speech to text and processes it the same way as typed commands.


Good to know

  • Each project has its own AI Dude thread

  • You can close the panel — your conversation remains saved

  • Schedule reorganization does not affect breakdown data or budgeting

  • AI Dude does not modify unrelated scenes
