If you use Movie Magic Scheduling or Gorilla, you can export your project from the Scheduling tab and continue working in your preferred software. Filmustage supports two export formats:
MMSX β native export for Movie Magic Scheduling 10 and later. Saves as .MMS10.
SEX β legacy export for Movie Magic Scheduling 5 and 6, and for Gorilla Scheduling. Saves as .MMS.
Before you begin
Your project is set up in Filmustage and your shooting schedule is built in the Stripboard.

Option A: Export as MMSX (Movie Magic Scheduling 10+)
Use MMSX for Movie Magic Scheduling 10 and later. The format is fully compatible with the current Movie Magic version β no conversion is required.
Step 1: Export from Filmustage
Go to app.filmustage.com, and then open your project.
On the ribbon, go to the Scheduling tab and select Stripboard.
At the top, select Export > MMSX (Movie Magic 10+).
Filmustage exports your project as a .MMS10 file and downloads it to your device.
Step 2: Import into Movie Magic Scheduling
Open Movie Magic Scheduling 10 or later.
Select File > Import Script, and then open the .MMS10 file you downloaded from Filmustage.
Movie Magic Scheduling imports your project, and you can continue scheduling.
Option B: Export as SEX (Movie Magic Scheduling 5/6 or Gorilla)
Note: SEX is a legacy format for older Movie Magic Scheduling versions (5 and 6) and for Gorilla Scheduling. If you use Movie Magic Scheduling 10 or later, use MMSX (Option A) for better compatibility.
Step 1: Export from Filmustage
Go to app.filmustage.com, and then open your project.
On the ribbon, go to the Scheduling tab and select Stripboard.
At the top, select Export > SEX (Movie Magic 5/6).
Filmustage exports your project as a .MMS file and downloads it to your device.
Step 2: Import into Movie Magic Scheduling 5/6 or Gorilla
Open Movie Magic Scheduling or Gorilla Scheduling.
Select File > New Schedule, and then select the default template.
Select File > Import, and then open the .MMS file you downloaded from Filmustage.
Movie Magic Scheduling imports your project into Breakdown Sheet # 2.
From the menu, select EP Scheduling > Preferences.
In the Preferences window, select the Schedule Preferences tab.
Change Sheet Numbering from Automatic to Manual, and then select OK.
At the top, select the red circle icon to delete the empty Breakdown Sheet # 1.
To the right of the red circle, select the 123-renumbering icon, and then renumber by Sheet Order. Breakdown Sheet # 2 becomes Breakdown Sheet # 1.
Go back to EP Scheduling > Preferences > Schedule Preferences, and then change Sheet Numbering back to Automatic.
Go to Schedule > Boneyard.
Use
Command + A(Mac) orCtrl + A(Windows) to select all elements.Right-click (Windows) or use
Control + Click(Mac), and then select Move to Stripboard. The Boneyard becomes empty.Close the current empty window.
Movie Magic Scheduling displays your project with all fields filled in.
To get proper colors for your Stripboard, select Next Sheets on your breakdown sheets:
